Allen Cox, Board Member
Allen Cox lives and writes in the Pacific Northwest. With a view of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains from his studio, he doesn't have to look far to find inspiration for a story. But his work isn't confined to the Northwest; he also travels and writes about destinations abroad with a particular passion for lesser-traveled spots in Latin America. With a bias toward sustainability and Geo-tourism, his subjects include travel, food, wine, the outdoors, conservation, the arts, history, architecture and profiles of people who make a difference. Allen contributes to several magazines as well as custom publications. He is the author of Best Easy Day Hikes – Seattle and Best Easy Day Hikes – Tacoma, both for Globe-Pequot Press. He also freelances as a communications consultant, commercial copywriter and editor.
