Melanie Votaw is the author of 12 non-fiction books on a variety of subjects (most published by Running Press/Perseus Books) and contributed to three additional books, two of which are compilations of short fiction. Books that she has ghostwritten or edited have won numerous awards. She has also written articles for such magazines as Woman's Day, Travel Savvy, Just Luxe, Business Insider, Luxury Web, City Room, Your Tango, Kraze, Ft. Myers Magazine, Reel Life With Jane, Minerva Place, and Medical Economics. Her photography has also been published in magazines and books, such as "The Ultimate Bird Lover" published by Health Communications, Inc.
A published nature and travel photographer, Melanie has traveled to 41 countries on six continents. Additionally, she is a magna cum laude college graduate with a bachelor of arts degree in English.
