2015 Hospitality Education Scholarship Award

Nicole Selene Coto Quinteros

Young Woman Student Chef

Every year, IFWTWA awards a student in the culinary arts, enology and viticulture, tourism and hotel management hospitality industry a scholarship award to assist with financing his or her education. The IFWTWA board of directors unanimously voted to award Nicole Selene Coto Quinteros a $1,000 scholarship to the School of Culinary Arts Central America in San Salvador, El Salvador.

Nicole, her mother, and sister subsist on a very limited income, so the IFWTWA Norm E. Hill Hospitality Education Scholarship makes a significant impact on Nicole’s ability to continue her education. Besides attending the School of Culinary Arts Central America, Nicole works at a restaurant to support her family and pay tuition.

Allen Cox, IFWTWA VP and Awards Committee Chair, says, “One of the goals of IFWTWA is to further the education of promising students in the hospitality industry who need financial assistance. On behalf of the IFWTWA Board of Directors and entire membership, I can attest that we are all proud to award this scholarship to Nicole.”
