Experience The Holiday Season in Greenville, South Carolina
December 5-8, 2023
Experience a real life Hallmark Christmas movie this holiday season in Greenville, South Carolina. This Southern city exudes charm year-round but truly sparkles during the holidays with holiday markets, carolers harmonizing on the streets, gingerbread house displays, dozens of decorated Christmas trees, an outdoor ice skating rink and so much more.
Guests will get into the holiday spirit while experiencing the restaurants, museums and attractions that have landed Greenville as one of the New York Times’ 52 Places to Go in 2023.
Why Greenville?
Greenville, South Carolina is that Southern city you’ve heard of by now (thanks to your fellow member Penny Zibula!) but probably aren’t quite sure why.
Maybe it’s been buzz about the food scene (which boasts numerous James Beard noms thanks to its hundreds of locally owned eateries showcasing a diverse range of culinary talent from backyard farm grown hyperlocal spots to authentic international eateries representing cultures from all over the world), or maybe it’s because of the seemingly endless cycling trails that offer something for all bike riders from beginners to professionals.
As the gateway to the Blue Ridge Mountains, Greenville South Carolina offers a variety of experiences ranging from outdoor adventures to Nationally recognized dining; affordable family friendly outings and cultural experiences that rival any major city.
With 5 nearby State Parks (and more than 100 others) it’s easy to get outdoors and take in all that the area has to offer. Greenville’s proximity to the mountains means you can spend the day exploring waterfalls and hiking trails followed by a show at the Peace Center for Performing Arts or trying out one of the area’s 2 dozen craft breweries. Visitors enjoy art museums, baseball games, a zoo, weekly farmer’s markets, outdoor concerts, movies in the park, and so much more. Every day there is something new to discover.
In 2023, the celebrated food scene will continue to grow with highly anticipated openings of Sum Bar, The Jones Oyster Co., Taco Boy, O-ku Sushi and Indaco, as well as the new Hotel Hartness, a destination hotel and spa.
