I was fortunate enough to live in Paris and travel throughout Europe as a child, returning to Paris after college graduation. I was employed for about three years with the American military command as the editor of a command newspaper and public information specialist in France, Holland, and Belgium. There, I developed a love of good food and faraway places (the name of my blog), a love of wine, and an enduring curiosity about people, places, and cultures other than my own. I enjoy traveling as much, as often, and as far as possible, both on assignment and for pleasure. My husband and I lived aboard a cruising motor yacht for the better part of three years, but now enjoy traveling on larger vessels as planes, trains and automobiles. For me, there is no end in sight to the list of places I wish to visit.
